Work

The problems, and how I solved them.

The first six Microsoft cases form one arc: unify, see, predict, prevent, act, scale.

Unifying Windows update management

Windows update management spanned two services, seven surfaces and three conflicting vocabularies. Across two organizations, I led the information architecture that organized update management around admin jobs instead of service boundaries.

Update journey

Reports reduced deployment to point-in-time numbers and error codes. I designed a clear three-level journey — fleet, deployment ring and device — revealing the whole process, where devices stalled, and why.

Device readiness and remediation

Admins spent days diagnosing failed updates and fixing devices one by one, only for problems to return. I redesigned update management to surface and remediate readiness risks before deployment, while keeping admins in control.

Preventing and reporting security risks

As vulnerability exploitation accelerated, update settings could leave devices exposed for weeks. I designed a prevention-to-remediation flow: inline guidance, policy-level reporting, and an agent that explains risk and drafts governed fixes.

Windows Autopatch dashboard

Admins had reports, but no clear answer to what needed attention. I rebuilt the dashboard around urgent decisions and designed an agent that investigates selected insights, proposes bounded actions, and keeps admins in control.

Evolving DesignOps with AI

Designers inherited Figma files with outdated components and inconsistent structure. I built three plugins and an AI agent, evolving from targeted fixes to generating design-system-aware, AI-ready files from legacy designs or screenshots.

Machine Learning Studio

I led research and design for a visual modeling platform built for mission-critical fraud detection at global scale, unifying data preparation, model building, evaluation and production deployment.

Service Intelligence

A degraded microservice sets off hundreds of alerts, and responders had to guess which one was the cause. I led this zero-to-one product from concept to release: a dependency map that shows the cause and the blast radius while there is still time to act.

Flow Designer

Automating an incident toolchain meant writing JavaScript, so the people who owned the process could not build it. I led design for the canvas and step palette of a visual builder that let them draw the flow instead.

xMatters Design System

Disconnected components slowed production and duplicated work across design and engineering. I built a governed design system that improved consistency, sped iteration and earned team-wide adoption.

DDS: on-premise to SaaS

DDS consolidated products across four transportation modes into one SaaS platform. I led the research, mapped customer journeys and inventoried every feature to define and sequence the SaaS roadmap.

Zoro app

Zoro connected passengers to thousands of regulated taxis across competing operators. I led research and end-to-end design, then benchmarked each release to verify the booking experience improved.
